"Updates show up way too late"
I use onthewater.com mostly to check reports before I make plans, but the updates just don’t come fast enough. A few times the info seemed like it was a couple days old, and that adds way more stress than I expected when I’m just trying to figure out whether a trip is worth it.
The site itself is easy to read and I do like the general idea, but I’ve been thrown off more than once because conditions changed and the page didn’t. It’s frustrating when you’re already trying to plan around weather, tides, and timing, and then the one thing you checked ends up being outdated. I really wish they kept it more current.
"Booking on the site was a total hassle"
I tried booking through On the Water the site was doing my head in. It kept freezing and randomly kicking me back a few pages, and the filters were wonky too. After messing with it for a while, I just got fed up and bailed.

"Decent shirt, but a little annoying"
The shirt itself is comfortable and I didn’t mind the fit, but the print started looking worn out way sooner than I expected. It’s not terrible, and I’ll still wear it, but for the price I was hoping it would hold up a bit better

"Reports Have Been Really Reliable"
I usually check onthewater.com before heading out on weekend fishing trips, the reports have been dependable for my area. They’re not going to nail every little detail, but they’re accurate enough that I feel like I can trust them when deciding where to start and what bait to bring. It’s definitely helped me avoid a few wasted mornings

"Order still hasn’t shown up"
I paid for shipping and my order still hasn’t even shipped after a week. I keep checking and there’s just no real update, no clear answer, nothing. It’s really frustrating because I paid for shipping, waited, and still nothing has moved. A week later and I’m still sitting here with no package and no useful information.

"Delivery takes more effort than it should"
Delivery is kind of hit or miss. Sometimes it shows up late, and then I have to keep checking the tracking or rearrange my plans, which is more hassle than I expected

"I like the idea of the site, and..."
I like the idea of the site, and it seems useful in theory, but getting help was a whole different story. I had an issue with my listing, sent a message, and then got to enjoy waiting several days for what ended up being a basic reply.
When support finally did get back to me, it felt rushed and didn’t actually solve the problem, which was lovely, because then I had to follow up again. I guess I was supposed to be grateful they answered at all, but it was frustrating.
It wasn’t the worst experience I’ve ever had, but for something involving a boat rental, I kind of expected faster support. Seems like responding a bit sooner would make the whole thing a lot less annoying
"Feels Like Surface-Level Fishing Advice"
I was hoping for solid fishing tips from people who really know what they’re talking about, but most of the articles felt basic and recycled. It’s like they found a loophole where they can call it “expert advice” without actually giving much real expertise. I came away feeling like I’d read a bunch of rewritten info from other places, and I didn’t really trust the recommendations
